Keeping your instrument in fine working condition is the goal at Creative Music Center’s instrument repair shop. Our repair technicians for string instruments, band instruments and guitars use the finest quality tools and supplies to repair the most delicate of instruments. While each repair is unique, below is a general list of prices for basic repair services.
Repair Technicians
David E. DeLong is a full-time senior professional Musical Instrument Repair Technician at Creative Music Center. After attending Allied in the mid-70s, he began restoring musical instruments professionally. Dave has been serving the instrument repair needs of Connecticut’s musical community for more than 35 years. He has provided consistent, superior quality repair work to regional and touring musicians, university and professional ensembles, and countless municipal high school, junior high and elementary school music programs. Music-educators across Connecticut consider him the go-to repair technician for anything from minor adjustments to complete overhauls. He is available in-store Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Dave is an official member of NAPBIRT, the national association of repair technicians.

Ben Lopez is a full-time professional Musical Instrument Repair Technician at Creative Music Center. He has been repairing orchestral and brass instruments since 2009. Ben has primarily focused on stringed instruments, providing customers with consistent, superior quality repairs. He is currently expanding and advancing his technical expertise to woodwind and brasswind repairs. Ben has provided expert technical expertise to student and professional instruments throughout his tenure as a repair technician. Ben performs reliable and consistent everything from minor repairs and adjustments, as well as mechanical and structural repairs, and custom set-ups. Ben is an official member of NAPBIRT, the national association of repair technicians.
